SAD DAY:( 5 of my bikes stolen!

I had a future project bike and some parts bikes in my car port that were stolen recently.

No one saw anything.

1974 CB550 nice one, good compression, complete but rough (i've still got the title). ... gone.

1973 cb450 with cl450 drum front and cl tank... gone.

two cb350 parts bikes ... gone.

a 400 hondamatic parts bike (only the wheels) .... gone.

Also taken:

My HUGE BBQ pit (i live in Texas, we all have pits)

3 riding lawn mowers:

New craftsman, a 1973 Bolens Husky 1556, and a yard bug... all gone.

Wheels, rear rack, other misc. parts... gone.

Whoever took my stuff tore the seats off and hauled it all off... probably to a scrap yard.

Moral of the story:

Scrap medal is going for a ton right now, Protect your vintage bikes... they WILL end up in a scrap yard if you are not careful and some PIECE of S#!@ comes onto your property.

God dangit. theives have been going around my area too... i hope that they get caught sneakin on to some pissed off old man's yard and hes sittin on the front porch with a shotgun. im sick and tired of thieves.. its not right !!! EVER if you don't have money, get a freaking job.... if you can't get a job DONT STEAL! we have welfare for people who can't work because of disabilities NOT YOU PEOPLE who DONT WANT TO WORK. its the SAME people who draw welfare that are STEALING and i hate it. Something needs to be done. We all just need to buy a gun and limit AMMO sales...

Thanks guys, I just needed a place to vent, figured that if ANYONE out there would feel my pain about the bikes, it would be you guys.

I did file a police report with the sherif's office (property is out of city limits)

I also made a REWARD sign and took it to most of the Pawn shops and to the Recyclers already. I doubt I'll get any calls.

Luckly, I'm in tight with the fire marshal and his office. On wednesday, I'm going to tag along as one of the inspectors does some "random" inspections of the 3 big metal recyclers in town.

It's doubtful anything will come of it, but who knows.

Wish me luck.

WTF! With that much stuff stolen, how the hell did no one see anything. Sheesh. Even the neighbors are crooks. Moral of the story, look out for your neighbors. They're people too. Good luck and hopefully something will come up on those inspections.

i hate thieves... ive been mugged 4 times, and each time either tracked the people down and got em arrested... or... well, I was forced to take matters into my own hands. I just count my blessings I haven't been shot or stabbed yet. One time at gunpoint for my wallet, just gave it up... other times unarmed except for once the guy had a knife and cut my friend a bit before I beat the living hell out of him.

I'm from south Texas, Brownsville to be exact. I work tomorrow (24 hour shift) so first thing when I get out is to go to the Marshal's office to hit those "randoms."

Nothing found, just as expected.

The search is now officially over. I only had enough anger to search about a week. More than that I cannot.

Guys, watch your bikes, lock them up, keep 'em out of sight.

Thats so bull shit that they stopped the search... I could see them stopping over ONE bike but they stole a bunch from you!
