Sandblasting cabinet?

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong
Does anybody here have any experience with the Vertical "Jobsmart" 32 lb blasting cabinet?

Good, bad, ugly????

Looks just like mine from harbor freight. I made a couple improvements. First, I sealed all the seams with some caulk I had laying around. Second, and most important, I added a vacuum system. Mine is a custom cyclone separator system, but anything to evacuate dust will improve visibility. Other wise, its done everything I ask it to do.

Have the same one as DuckHunterJon and have been pleased with it. Did the exact same improvements, I also added a finer screen underneath the metal grating to keep some of the larger debris from mixing in the sand and clogging up the gun. Have been really happy with it.

Also if there is a Harbor Freight in your area, you can use their 20% percent off coupon that they have everywhere, was able to pick mine up for around 175.

I went to Harbor this morning and found the one you have, for $ 219, thinking of getting it there, I was looking at the one in the picture from Tractor Suppy Co.

What media do you guys use for different materials, I have only done sandblasting on wooden signs many years ago, so I haven't a clue?!

What kind of air compressors do you guys use, or how many CFM are you using?

This might be my problem for me, mine is a 33 gal., and it looks like it might not have enough. It is 6.3 SCFM at 40 psi and 5.1 at 90 psi. Any ideas?

Seems like Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight use the same OEM for a lot of their private label stuff.... It's probably the exact same cabinet.

They might be the same cabinet, but the TSC cabinet is $349 and the list at Harbor is
$ 299 but it's at $ 219 till the end of April and I'm looking for one of those 20% off coupons

They send me a 20% coupon about every other week.

And as far as CFM, your compressor is a little small, but should work nonetheless. Just dont expect to not have to wait on air a bit.

I have the harbor freight one as well. Best damn thing in my shop. I have a Rigid shop vac hooked up to the side of it. I use aluminum oxide for blasting. I have used soda blast in the past for things that I just want to clean up a bit. Aluminum oxide works much better for removing rust and such. Your 33 gal compressor will do fine. You may find that after blasting for 10 minutes or so you may need to let the compressor catch up a bit. But most of these bike parts take no time at all to blast.....as long as you have the right media.
