Sat Nav on a 360 (Or Any Older Bike)

Been Around the Block
Hi dudes. Haven't been around much lately, been in hospital instead - much more enjoyable than working on bikes ;D

Anyway, I thought I'd see what solutions people have come up with for using a TomTom Rider or similar on an older bike like a 360. As we all know, the charging system on the 360 isn't Herculean so adding another electrical component probably isn't going to help matters.

Interested to hear stories or workarounds!

Ps. Feel free to move this topic to wherever

You probably have enough juice to run one. It's only an extra 10W or so.

If it's a real concern, try swapping out to LED lighting. Our LED headlight only consumes 20W of power (compared to 35W stock) and is tons brighter.

Cheers Sonreir. Do you have a link to the actual product? My tail light is LED but the headlight and turn signals are still regular bulbs.

Anyone else hooked up a satnav to their old bike?

It's the 20W H4 LED Headlight Bulb listed on page I linked.

And yeah... I've run GPS on my Ducati, but not on anything vintage. I have a friend who ran it through his phone on his CB350, no problems.

Nice. Thanks. My phone is my number one choice but for use in other European countries the mother fuckers will charge me too much for roaming.

Ps. Completely missed that headlight bulb when looking through the page. Idiot.

I'm running one of THESE badboys, will your bulb be compatible?

Not sure. Is the bulb replaceable? If it's sealed beam, you may need to look for something else.
