well im finally posting some pics of my seat & base and the progress so far
it looked like this after lots of mucking around

After much pissing around I went and äquired"" a road sign and cut it up to shape for the base to mount the seat to. I put a tin bottom under the sign material to add strength. I also made a hinged section so i can access the battery. the seat will be held on by 3 bolts with butterfly nuts so it can be taken off easily.
I want to make the seat pad white and run a white stripe down the tank and seat. I'll add more pics as i progress.so what do you think? ok for a first timer? any hints greatly appreciated
