Seat Foam

Hey i'm just about to make a seat and was wondering what grade of foam is the best to use, is anything from this site http://www.i-foam.com.au/ worth using or can anyone point me in the right direction

The most durable and comfortable seats I've made have been built using closed cell foam. The cheapest way I've found to buy it is to bypass the foam shops, and go to a camping store, or a military surplus. Get a camping bed roll. They are approximately 20 inches wide by 70 inches long, at about 3/4's inch thick. That's enough to make about 9 REALLY comfortable cafe/bobber seats. The roll should cost you about $10.

Most foam shops don't want to deal in quantities small enough for our needs. Some may hook you up with a "sample" or scrap for free. I've never had much luck with that though.

If you have a local upholster, i would stop in and see if has any scrap that would part with. I got all the material need to for two seat for $15 that included the foam and leather

Found some 3/4" inch neoprene on ebay for about 10 bucks. Was easy to cut and seems appropriate for a cafe seat pad.

Thanks guys, just realised I have a foam cell camping matress under my house so this will end up being a quite cheap alternative
