Depends on the shape, if it's only dead flat side panels then I'd use some easy to cut but not overly flexible material, maybe some wood board, then make the hump with high density foam. And in the end tape it together.
then maybe some thin metal sheet bent over the frame over the sides as base, then glue high density foam on top and sides and then shape it as you want it.
When your pleased with the shape, tape it up (so the resin don't eat away the foam) and start adding FG

Cklamer I like your idea and with no experience doing so I have a rough image on how to FG those quick connects in the seat and weld I guess the other part of the connector to the frame. Now do most people put those quick connects on the side, I figured the leather upholstery would be in the way on the top. Im definitely a newb at most of the fabrication stuff. Thanks
If making it in fiberglass, I would use foam and tape/aluminum foil to cover. Just make sure that the design will allow the bottom of the side plates to clear the frame and be sure to strengthen the side plates as you don't want to have your paint crack due to flexing.
As for mounting, I used heavy duty Velcro. it is not going to come loose with you sittin on it, in fact, it was pretty hard to get it off. Plus I was able to use a large area to support the seat and it was easy to ship to get it to just the right height to show off my frame.
Hey Im trying to figure out what type of body filler can I use on the blue insulation foam. I would rather not buy anything. I have bondo gold body filler but the tech guys says it will eat through what I have. Now I tried a bit on a scrap peice, I can't see any damage. But I covered the mold with wood glue, Im letting it dry right now.
