Seat Vibrations

Been Around the Block
So I just bought a 76 Cb360T, its my first older bike and I'm very excited about it. Anyway I drove it home from San Fran today the trip was around 50 miles, the amount of vibrations I had in the seat was horrible! Does this happen with all of these bikes? What should I do about it? I'm thinking of rubber washers in the mounting bolts or something... Also my bike only has 5 gears but I thought the 360T had a 6 speed tranny, correct me if I'm wrong... possibly a replacement engine?

Vibrating seat ??????????

Here's what I'd do - go along to the local bird pick up joint - get the hottest girl there to hop on the back and by the time you get where you're going - she's ready !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;)

Excess vibration can be caused by loose engine mounting bolts, cracked engine mount, or cracked frame.

Or carbs out of sync, wheels out of true, tires out of balance, so on and so forth.

Hahaha. I was about to say the same!

Haha, I've considered not doing anything about it for the sake of the ladies but really, going 75mph at around 6k rpm its just too much vibration... Now I'm just going by the paper work I got with the bike, PO had the carbs rebuilt by a vintage honda specialist in San Fran and a bunch of other work. I'm really confused about the engine because I swear that the 360T had a 6 speed tranny... oh well. Once I can walk and use my left leg properly again I'll do a full look over and check engine case and frame, I'm just not mobile enough to do so at the moment.

It does have a 6 speed. I've had the 6th gear not engage. I ended up tearing the bottom end apart and putting it back together to fix an oil leak and it fixed the 6th gear as well.

Umm I'll double check the stamp but it has 2 dots stamped onto of the number, this means it was part of that cam chain recall thing no? Also what battery should I pop into her? The current one is an AGM one but I haven't taken it out yet to see the specs. Anyone have any battery suggestions?
