You guys have no idea.. I have tried so many times to get him to get some of his bikes running but have had zero luck... he has 30 some odd bikes scattered throughout his 40,000 sq ft shop in various spots so as he goes through his day he can just look at them.. everything from vintage bultaco gp bikes to crazy 60s digger style triumph choppers, nortons, heck he even has a couple hondas.. one being my payment for the BSA in the form of a prestine 74 CL 360 which will then be handed over to my best buddy for him to have fun with. its a same they all just sit there but at the same time at least they arent rotting in a field somewhere ahaahhhahha

Well it's been a couple weeks with no updates so I figured I would share what's been going on..

As some of you may recall I took on a BSA project for a friend of mine so progress on my bike while slow has not completely stopped.. We have since "finished" the BSA I say that because like I mentioned it is not a runner.

Now seeing as that's done my buddy got his bike out of the deal (74 CL 360) that we have been tinkering with for the last few days... I also finally talked another buddy of mine into picking up something to cruise around on with us this summer (71 CB 500) needless to say it was an exciting weekend :)

So like I mentioned, I have been able to make a bit a progress in the last few weeks but I felt like I was kind of working in circles on it and not getting anything done which us been really frustrating..

One thing I did manage to get done was button up the oil cooler setup and re-seal the case. I didn't snap any pics of the finished product but you can get the idea from mock up I took a pic of.. Sinse then I have put on some really nice fire resistant line covers where the lines are close to the pipes and also cleaned up the cooler itself..

Another thing I was able to do was break my tail light lens.. So instead of trying to hunt another one down I decided to make a metal one..

I haven't snapped a pic of that yet cause it still needs to get finished up.

Lastly today was a big day, was finally feeling like I was getting something done, my friend and I built a little makeshift booth and today I got to try I out. I got my tank primed and got the bodywork done on my tail and front fender as well as got them In primer..

Still need to finish sand the tail and fender but the tank is ready for paint.. Could see some color tomorrow!

I'm in love with that seat!

Any chance you have a shot inside the hub so I can see how you attached the perforated metal?

I was looking at the knee dents in the tank.....the look just like the wing in the honda logo...done on purpose? or did they just work out that way?

Thanks bud.. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of inside the hub, but I can tell you how that are fastened. In each opening there are 2 small threaded pieces of metal welded to the hub for the outside bolts to hold the mesh in.

Well it's funny you say that, a while back when I first started finishing the bottom of the tank my buddy and i noticed the shape too. Right from there I had plans of putting some wings there in my paint scheme. I had some stencils made and the plan was to ghost the emblem in with some gold pearl. After getting the tank in color I realized that with the tank pad and the Honda badges adding another element would just look too busy.

While I'm here ill put a few pics up.. I went back and wet sanded/buffed everything and put my front fender back on. I'm really stoked how the bike looks with the fender back in place. Kinda knocks it back into the 70's a bit
