Selling the projects to pay for a move. 74 cb750 and 78 gs1000e

Been Around the Block
I'm getting ready to move across the country and do not have the time or the space to fix my bikes. There are pictures of both bikes in the build forum.
The cb is down to bare frame. Frame is still completely stock, and comes with complete bike in boxes as well as a spare motor, spare frame, 4" over forks, and another box of all sorts of spares..

The gs is a roller with an 03 katana front end, stock rear swinger. Comes with a gsxr swinger, caliper, and some odds and ends. Frame is cut a bunch and the triangle has been mostly cleared out.

Both bikes are in boardman, Ohio 44512. I would be willing to meet up or deliver within a reasonable distance for some gas money.

Make an offer on either or both.

there has to be someone that wants to build a bike from boxes of parts.. ill throw in a really ugly mesh riding jacket..
and i realized that i forgot to mention that the gs runs. well, it will run with some plugs and some gas.. the carbs have been rebuilt.. and it comes with a stator to replace the bad one...

Damn Slinds. I would trade a 650 twin for the GS, but that defeats your posts......

How much are you looking for each? Any ideas?

Hey rich, I wish I could get another bike, or at least put mine back together.. Out of sheer curiousity what is the 650? Xs?
I was hoping to get something near $700 for the cb, which is roughly half of what I have into it..
I'd be real happy if I could see $500 out of the gs, which also comes with a rear stand.. Haha
Obviously I'm open to offers..
I also forgot to mention that both bikes have clean titles, the spare cb frame does not have one though.

No, it's a GR650. Suzuki - rather rare. $500 for the GS? That's a heckuva deal.

Oh ok, I've heard a lot about them, but never actually seen one.
I was thinking it's a reasonable price, I've seen motors go for the same, and I've got a few bucks in the bike as it sits..

Are you going to the Maryville GTG? I'm interested in the GS, but don't necessarily have all the resources/ability to pick it up right now, just thought i'd ask out of luck. Where are you moving? Thanks.

Hey chimera, I didn't even know about a meet actually. I haven't been on the site much lately. When is it? Id like to go, even if I don't have a bike running.
Where do you live btw? I'm going to be in Lima, oh in a month or so to visit family.
I'm moving out to Phoenix in June, I've been in Ohio for 13 years now, I need to get back out west..

Thats cool man i definitely understand needing a change of environment. I live right here in Maryville, TN, location of this summers DTT GTG.(Last weekend of July) I'm originally from Florida, and am reminded daily of both why I should be here in TN, and why I should be back in FL. I wish I could jump on that 78, my brother and father and I specifically only care to work with GS series bikes.(my dads first bike was a 78 GS750, and his current bike after not having one for about fifteen years, is a mint 82 GS750EZ) If anything changes and no one snatches it up in a few days i'll let you know for sure.

Good luck with the move and the bikes, sure hate seeing a GS bike like that go without myself being the buyer.

Oh ok, I was thinking of marysville, OH.. If it was earlier I would be able to make it, I'm gonna be moving in June. I understand why you guys like the gs' after messing with this one for a couple years I'm definitely gonna buy another one.
Thanks man

Hey Slinds, do you have a pic or a link for the GS? A buddy of mine may be interested.

Hey rich, I am gonna try to put up a pic from my phone in a second, if that fails there's a few pics in the big arse projects section, the title is winter triple build.

I really want to get rid of my storage unit so I can save even more money.. $1000 for both bikes and everything.

Ugh.... hurry up and sell that 750 slinds! The last thing I need is another project... I am always looking for another cheap parts bike for my cb350, and everytime I search the local craigslist for Honda cb your ad pops up.... (I live in Warren)

If you get down to the wire before you move and still have the honda....drop me a line.... I might be able to pull some funds together...

Just hurry up and sell it! ;D Free bump!

Thanks alot guys. I got a call on the cb today, hopefully the guy picks it up tomorrow..
The Suzuki seems like it's gonna be a hard sell..

$1100 for everything and you can take some satisfaction when I drop a hundred due to your superior bartering skills?
