Building my first cafe bike, a 1975 CB550. It kinda fell in my lap, a friend of my had the bike and the carbs went out and he got frustrated and wanted to get rid of the bike. "get it out of my garage" is what he said and I got a free bike.

Now where do I go from there, I've been looking at a lot of pictures and finally have an idea of what i'm planing on doing, so here I go.

I did find out about the carbs, his brother tried to clean them with oven cleaner and now they're junk. Also it has the wrong motor, it has a 500cc motor and if i'm not mistaken the 1975 CB was the first year with the 550cc motor to compete with the Susuki GS550. So now I'm hunting for a motor and carbs.

I've found a source for none running motors but now need to find rebuild/performance kits to rebuild the motor, carbs seem to be all over ebay.
