Shed cafe racer build

Hello,

well I'll try to explain and write down my build as good as I can.

The base is a Honda VF400F from '84 known as well as Interceptor.

When I bought her, the original fairings were in a bad shape. The engine good besides a little problem with the carbs, there must be a air-leak, as she revs up directly to 16.000 RPM

Some cool facts about that bike :

- Inboard brake system (front and rear)
- Hydraulic clutch
- Front and rear suspension can be adjusted by pumping air in or out
- The cooling system runs through the frame

Ok enough of the bla bla :

More pics to come...

Actually I am working on the frame to fit the cafe seat and to build a pan for the electrics underneath the seat.

Wow, I really like these Cafes on a more modern theme. Not that I don't like the old Brit and Jap stuff, but the newer technology is pretty cool. Water cooled v-twin, now that is something to see.

Cafe seat has finally arrived (from Hungary)

This week I will weld and prepare the frame and Tank for painting.
Colour of the frame will be Ducati red, tank and seat will be flat black and chromed.

I`m not sure about the 400`s but it`s bigger sisters tend to have an oilpump issue and the heads get blown.
Maybe something to look into.
Good luck with the build, looks nice! 8)
