Shinko tires?

Anyone use them on their bike? I was looking for tires and the prices they had nabbed my attention, apparently they bought all of Yokohama's tire equipment.. For the price I have no complaints if they ride like wagon wheels but would like to hear something if possible about them from another DTT'er.

Never tried them but I've heard they are far superior to 1970's rubber, about on par with mid 80's low end stuff

I'm running them right now. They're good. Not fantastic, but I didn't pay for fantastic.

thanks! I bought a set of 230 tour masters, I figured they'd be better then the "champion" tires on the bike now.. These last few weeks have killed my tires, 100F+ and they just melted away.

I know guys that run Shinkos on their Hayabusas. I looked into them for my 'busa because of the value that you mention. "Great straight line performance, just don't try to lean into any hard corners. They're hard and not very sticky" was what I was told. I decided to go with Pirelli Diablos instead.
Now, for a bike that's not as heavy or agressive as my 'busa, I may consider them again.

I have Shinko's. They are decent. I don't push my bike too hard. They will keep me rolling until I do a complete overhaul.

I have used the those shinkos you bought on two bikes, really good tires, and look good too. theyre sticky both on dry and wet. theyre a good company, just really underated. i believe they are a bit bigger and better known over seas in japan and stuff.
heres the bikes ive mounted them on
