Shipping CL350 scrambler exhaust shipping? Can't find a box!

I need to ship a scrambler exhaust from Michigan to Florida and for the life of me can't find a box that will work. Obviously a 3ft square box won't be any good and I don't want to fab up my own box due to the weight of the exhaust and the possibility of breaking.

No stores near me have an odd shaped box like this. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I've shipped exhausts by wrapping them in a bunch of bubble wrap (cheap from any office supply store) than stick it in a garbage bag. Wrap with heavy packing tape and ship. May not look super pretty but it does the job and then some.

Done this as well. You may find that making a box makes for cheaper shipping though.

Go to a skate shop. Either a regular skate shipping box will work, or if it has muffler on it, use a longboard box. Skate shops (well, good ones) get tons of these boxes shipped to them on an almost daily basis, and they usually just get recycled, so if they try to charge you just go to the next shop. Plan B: Snowboard shop.

Genius! Plus then you're at a skate shop, and that's fun.

True, most places charge an extra fee for it not being in cardboard. UPS charged me an extra $12.00 shipping for an engine I shipped in a rubbermaid tote. Obviously far superior to a cardboard box but oh well. Next time I'll put the tote in a box and laugh at them trying to move a 110lb engine in a box with no handles and it will save me $12.00. 8)

And yes, I usually just get a larger size box or two decent size boxes and tape the geebus out of them and ship it that way with plenty of bubble wrap. Shipped probably 10 complete exhaust and never had any issues... Only shipped the one engine so far and learned my $12.00 lesson about the cardboard.

Just logistics - it's easier to plan for regular than irregular shapes.
