Shorty Shocks

nice didn't know about that. What do you guys think of an 11" shock though. short enough? too short? any chance of tire rubbing?

We have stock arriving daily guys. Just email thecrew@dimecitycycles.com on the ones you need and Michael or Kara will respond with stock status. Also, FWIW- we have several hundred sets coming into stock....won't run out every again! :)

if you do not level out the front it will... also will cut down on the lean angle you can achieve... but to be honest unless you put some seriouse TLC into upgrading the old tire fork spring, damper mods, stearing damper, tires, and complete replacement on rear shocks to upgrade
stock handleing on these bikes kind of blows

Put a set of shorty's on my CB750 and lowered the front 10mm. I weigh 220lbs and no prob bottoming out. Love the lower ride height, can reach ground flat footed now, only 5ft 7in. Clubmans, Allballs steering bearings, and new tires made up for any handling losses.
Respect!

Lowering the front and rear at the same time with cause hard parts to hit faster and thats not good...
As far as clubmans...might make things feel faster but without changing the rearsets you will loss leverage and again have less control

These old bikes can be made to handle beautifully
Just because it's old doesnt mean it doesnt work

It's important to understand how a mod will effect the capabilitys of a bike

Ive got the ones from DCC on my 450. The tire does not hit when the shocks bottom. You will have to lower the front too to keep the bike level.

Had to loose the center stand but nothing else grounds out, then again I'm not racing this beast or pushing it like my old bike (Katana). surffly all I know is that with the clubmans on I don't have to think about turning like I did with the stock bars on, but maybe it's a comfort thing ie. I wasn't used to being that upright while riding. Rearsets would definitely help

I'm chopping the bike out I just didn't want to go hardtail with it but I hate the giant gap between the fender and the rear tire. I've got 6 inch oversize forks. I haven't changed the angle on the front end yet but thats my next step to get the front end back down.
