Been Around the Block
I grew up in the EFI era, I used to go to college auto tech after highschool three days a week and we were never taught about carbs lol. I remember as a kid, my dad and cousins trying to rebuild the carb of an old El Camino we had and that old quadrajet was a pain in the ass with so many parts. I would much rather have an EFI I could hook up a computer to in order to make adjustments and changes to the pulse but digress
My carbs need to be rebuilt and adjusted and more than likely jetted as the last owner put a 4 to 1 exhuast and has pods. Plus when I change out my head gasket, I plan on buying a cycle x cam and beehive spring kit so I will probably need a lot of tuning. I've never rebuilt carbs before and it seems like I would need disassambly all over again to change adjustments, should I be intimidated by these things? How hard is it to do? I've rebuilt Chevy 350's before so that is my skill level if you could guage it but I am a child of the nintendo era with OBDII just becoming a requirement when I started driving ;D
