just working out some ideas for the two bikes im working on. both 1978 cb750s and i want to see how you are running your handlebars.
mine are cluttered as hell and i dont have much room for adjustment. had clubmans and i loved em but i switched to some drag bars thinking
that might give me a little more room and be a little more comfortable but its just crowded as hell.

i was wondering if there was a throttle housing that just did that. no kill switch and no electric start button. the electric start motor only works
randomly on my cb750k. i think the wheel may be missing a few teeth so it only turns over when its lined up properly...... and i say screw the thing.
i have a kick start and it kicks over pretty easy so why not just lose the electric start all together and free up some cables and some space on the bars. what do you guys think?

id also like to see what headlights, tac and speedometer you guys are going with. i just want to tighten up the front end and i like the light bucket with the speedometer mounted inside but i also like having a tac.... so many things to think about.

Here's a general shot of mine...

Clubmans, stock gauges, Parts-n-More headlight.

they are just reg clubman bars, after i got rid of the switch housings on one side i cut about 2 inches off the end of the bar to get them tighter, i am going to be able to cut them down even more with the VM30 carbs as they are a single pull cable and i have a new housing for it, so i can get rid of the stock switch housing. makes it look high and tight when you trim it down

hey thanks. that looks good. what kind of throttle housing are you using? there is no electric start or kill switch on there right?
can you just use any racing throttle pull thats 7/8?

damn that looks sick too. i like the white handlebars. i def need some smaller gauges. i guess one step at a time.
ever thought about loosing your electric start and kill switch? thats what im thinking about doing... elec start doesnt work anyway.
ha

David, the throttle is OEM for the bike, '72 Yamaha DS7. It's a single cable unit. There's no kill switch because in '72 it was required yet, and no starter button because the '72 DS7 wasn't equipped with an electric starter. She's a kicker only ;D

yeah i think i want to make my 750 a kicker only. mostly because the electric start already doesnt work and putting in a smaller throttle housing would look cooler on the handle bars..... or perhaps i would hate myself in the winter if i didnt have an electric start.

it is gone already

Since this pic I've put different grips on the bars and cleaned the bike up a little bit. The bike is a 73 cb350g. All of the switches have been relocated for a clean look.
