I like the look of that Maxim.
Thanks mate. Been a long way comin since august and a long way to go. Started out as a shotty bolt on hard tail bobber. Spade seat, sportster tank, etc. Made the seat out of a 22 gauge steel sheet and about to work on a full fairing this winter. It's my first build so I kind of consider it a practice bike for metal fab.
Tail light is from a cbr600.

did the 22g steel work out for a seat? im going to be making a bump seat out of the same gauge steel. my build will be starting this winter. not really so much a build cuz i dont have many skills. more of take parts off and replace parts. lol

If its sitting directly on the frame then it's okay for aesthetics but the gauge is too soft for proper rigidity. 18 gauge would probably be better but there comes a point where molding and shaping metal becomes too difficult without a planishing hammer or English wheel(on my purchase list). You gotta run tack welds all the way as well. Mine took 12 straight hrs of shaping/welding and 3 solid days of body filler.

Wow man. Thats a hell of a job ya did. Glad to know I'm not alone...I used some 16 Gauge until I realized my arms hurt after working with it (aka hammering the sh!t out of it) haha. I also did 18 Gauge.

Ha, thanks man. I can't wait to see the finished product and show it off! ;) I read up on your build after I looked at your avatar. Pretty fuckin rad! I'll def be lookin for updates.
