Show me your tail light and license plate mount ideas/solutions.

I've been looking at the tiny tail light and axle-mounted/sideways/bent license plate set-up I've got now - that I liked so much at first, now maybe not so much - and have thinking about changing things up. Care to show me what you've got, to inspire me to make some changes??? 8)

Mounted it on the side and added two LED license plate bolts.

I'm assuming you're also running a tail light of some kind (the LEDs aren't your only rear lights)?

Yep there is a tail/brake light just out of the picture. Honestly there really is no good place for a plate, anywhere you put them is ruins the lines of the bike.

Cops pull me over once in a while to complain about the plate being too flat / parallel to the road, but not the light being visible, so no worries.

No police issues... yet. I only have 2 km. on the bike since the mod! ;D

I should mention I've since replaced my tail light with an identical model that has built in turn signals, so the signals in the photos above are now gone

That is VERY sweet, Tim - I wish my tail would accommodate a set-up like that.

There is a thread somewhere that's just tail sections... think its called "Show me your Tail sections". Great ideas from there.

I originally had mine under the seat like Tim, but we have to display the state inspection tag and that adds about 4" to the bottom of the plate...it just hangs down too much.

We built this T500 cafe racer for a customer, and have used this seat and tail light combo a number of times now....
