I finally pulled the trigger and ordered all the needed engine parts for my '73 CB350 over at SHS PowerSports last night. I wake up this morning to an email saying;
"I am very sorry but the parts on your order are no longer available from
us or the factory. I have cancelled the order, and your card has been
credited.

Sorry,

Does anyone have experince with SHS? Are they legit?
Where else can I go for engine parts for my CB?

HELP!!!

A lot of local dealers list parts for sale on their site for old bikes but don't say of they are still available or not. When you order them on their website, THEN they go look to see if they are available.

I usually gather the list of parts I need and then call or email the parts guy and have him look them up before I pay. If they can't get them, most other dealers won't be able to either except for a few that specialize in old parts. Then your next option is to check eBay.

I have a laundry list of little parts needed. Ebay would probably be a nightmare! Do you know of any dealers that specialize in old parts? Arrrrgh!!

Depends on what all you're looking for, E-bay is actually a decent source for stuff that is hard to find but craigslist and other classifides have alot more than you probably realize. Gaskets and stuff can be had just about anywhere. If you're looking for performance stuff hit up the Henning race team http://home.earthlink.net/~toddhenningracing/ or Bore-tech. They are some of your best resources for your internals such as the pistons, rings and timing pieces. Pamco Pete makes a good updated ignition from what I've heard www.cb350ignition.com. You can hit up Dime City and a few other sponsors for the cables/carbs/exhaust and so forth. If your needing something unusual post up your needs and somebody will probably know somebody or have a good source for you to check out.

Peruse through the threads at hondatwins.net.

The only one that comes to mind is western hills Honda.

I have a ton of CB350 parts plus some decent resources. Post a list of what you're looking for. I personally have had luck with partsnmore.com and touch and go luck with bikebandit.com. Plus a few others.

Thanks. I'll get a list going and post to the classifieds but I'm still so bummed. A single source with good prices for everything I needed?! I should have known it was too good to be true.
