Small Sealed Battery

Trying to determine what battery to use for my cafe. Building an 80 KZ440. Whats everyone using? I think it has a YB14A in it now or something. I know that it has 1.2 amps.

Doesn't make sense?
YB14 is a 14A/hr battery (The 'A' is terminal position)
personalty I wouldn't go much smaller than 7A/hr if you expect to use electric start

Looked at it this morning its a YB12a-a if I remember correctly.

Thats not the part I am worried about. Just want to know what a small sealed battery is that I could run that will have enough amps

I think PJ was trying to point out it depends on what you're using on the bike. E start only, kick start only, led signals, etc all make a difference on what sized battery you can use.

Elec Start, doesnt have a kicker

As of right now, no signals..LED tail light and regular headlight

No kicker.....then I would go with PJ except even bigger. Maybe 9ah or larger since it is gonna get a workout everytime you start the bike.

YTX9A should be fine.
For anyone else wanting to know stuff,
You need to think out question and give as much information as possible
It may seem perfectly logical to you but we are not mind readers.
Easy way to find out smallest reliable battery would probably find a modern sport bike with same or similar cylinder capacity.
in your case, a nominal 220cc.
Honda VF800 is close (4x200cc) what size battery does that use?
If that's too big for you, look at 750 sport bikes, they use close to the minimum size possible

Thanks, and yea I was a little vague in my questioning. I appreciate the help and what not. Hopefully it works out best. The main reason I asked was bc I tried a YTZ10S out of my 600RR and the starter just spun without actually starting. So I put my stock battery back in and it worked fine.
