Snow!

Rode my bike into work this morning. It was a bit chilly...but not too bad. Roads were mostly dry.

BUT there's a storm storm hitting Toronto atm.

Looks like I'm going to get my first taste or real winter riding/pavement.

I was at High Park at a film shoot when it started coming down. Lucky it didn't stick and the roads were dry coming home...

Ho-Ly-Shit!

Orangeville got nailed...

Nothings sticking in Georgetown yet... You're elevated a bit compared to me though, sucks to be you. My buddy in Orangeville got hammered then too... hahaha, I'll make sure I laugh at his expense later for that.

;D

Dude! I was out the other night, it was already raining really hard that whole night but I came out and it was that full on wet blizzard. Parkdale to Oakwood/St.Clair, worst 15 minutes of my life. Even had my full face helmet but it was covered in slush instantly I had to flip it up and drive soaked with my eyes 1/2 shut. Got home and put all my shit away for the season. But then today looks alright, just getting real cold. I'm gonna bundle up and go for it, cross my fingers.

Anyone recommend a good full face helmet that doesn't fog up inside? I have an HJC and it doesn't ventilate right even with the little vents open.

We got a fair chunk out in KW over the weekend. Closer to Listowel way is actually worse. Came from O'ville last night. Stupid cagers that don't know how to drive were sliding off the road everywhere. Same thing every year. It's like people forget that snow is slippery. ::)

I made it home fine...and rode in this morning. I'll keep doing it. I just love riding in the cold. The bike runs amazing (once it's been running for a good 10 min).

ccvsgod: the one in your avatar looks like a good choice!

What are you guys thinking, living up there?

I hate snow and everything about it... Oh and you think people up there can't drive in snow, you should see Texans try to do it (we do get it every so often), it'd be funny if it wasn't so scary.

yah i think despite of the snow, it should be a nice week to ride.
ccvs: have you tried spitting in the visor ...? i haven't tried it yet but.... dunno....?

More of a SCUBA diving thing, but I'm sure it would work. You can get defogging spray as well, but not as cheap as a good lugie :D

Ya...I think that works for diving. Worked more to seal the rim of the goggles to your face. Good trick btw...for diving that is.

I just open mine to the first click from closed.....keeps the fog away.....but lets more cold air in........the spray is something I am going to try. Oh...and its been snowing here all day in PA....but not sticking yet. Think its time to get the plow on the tractor and take the mower deck off........

Who ever said that ice and snow couldn't be ridden on?

HJC makes an airbox for their helmets. My friend has one, as he puts it, "Not only does my visor not fog up, but if I want to commit crimes it doubles to mask my identity."

I picked up the half assed version of his(mine was $10 so was his...I got ripped), and hate it, I'm currently looking for his, it plugs into the holes in the front.

EDIT: Here's the one he has(I'm ordering mine now):
