Snowmobile Shocks on a motorcycle

Hey guys,

So yes. this MAY sound stupid. But I've found quite a few Ohlins shock sets online for snowmobiles, and with a decent spring rate, what would be the difference between the 2 be? Visually, they seem exactly the same.

Case in point.

There is probably a fantastic reason. But hey, why not ask.

They are just shocks, don't care what they were fitted to.
Yamaha owned Ohlins for a few years
Spring rate may be too low for bigger bike but I think they would work great on a 'middleweight'

$300 for a pair of 2nd hand shocks that will probably need alteration?

You could get a decent pair of brand new shocks for that sort of cash.
