so now I see why people post stuff like "here we go again" on this whole "what's a cafe racer" thing. I have seen several posts on the same subject. How about we all decided to that a cafe racer has changed from it's original conception just like punk rock has. Punk use to be loud, fast music full of attitude now it's music for cry baby emo kids that wear their sister's pants. Things change, sometimes not for the better but in terms of getting it put into a genre, ya, that cry baby emo shit is more punk than that shitty band Cake or Pearl Jam or some garbage like that. Is it a Ramones, Clash or Social D? Hell no! not even close but unfortunately bands like Fall Out Boy get put into the punk rock genre. So just like a shitty bone stock Honda hawk with only a pair of clubmans gets called a cafe racer, so is the amazing Triumph thunderbird or bonneville. Its a newer generation of cafe racer, some old schoolers may not like it but to me, that's the way it is. Another example. Look at the term Hot rod or classic car. I have 1959 Ford Galaxie and have friends with 48 Desoto, 32 Fords and so on......hot rods......now these muscle head freaks with late 70s Novas call their new car a hot rod......not in my eyes but maybe for them. Or how about the 1980s Mustang being called a classic...... really a classic? a classic p.o.s.!!! My 2 cents!
