So-Cal riders

Thought you guys looked familiar. I had my yellow XS750 there but only stayed for an hour or so. Saw that Vincent too, work of art.

oh damn, now that you mention it, I think I did see your bike there. well, let us know if you're up for a ride on sunday!

doesn't look like darkside is going to be able to make this one...but I'll still be showing up at 9:30a if anyone wants to join...

meeting at Jack-in-the-Box at 2602 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA ‎at 9:30a (it's a combo gas station parking lot too). Gassing up and on the road by 10am.

hope to see somebody there...cheers!

I've got this afternoon and tomorrow clear to get my front end back together. But if all goes well, I hope to make it out.

I'll be coming down pch from the LB area. I've got your number too, so I'll hit you up before hand either way.

Well I was for sure going to make it, but for some reason the gremlins have returned to my electrics and every light but my tail/brake light is out

If I can get it all fixed up before this weekend I will be there.

Could this be somehow tied to the ignition switch? Is there a 3 position switch? Off-Acc-On ?

My '63 Honda Trail's original ignition switch had a 3 position switch, Acc position would only have the tail light on, then switching it to On would turn on the rest of the lights.

I suspect that it could have something to do with the starter button. On my bike, the headlight stays off until the engine starts even with the key in the ignition. could have a bad grounding circuit in there somewhere. The turn signals are an ongoing problem, they never work right. I have pretty much had it, will most likely just drop it off at the bike shop near my house and have them go at it.

The Rally was pretty damn fun. Hot as hell though. Great racing on some old vintage bikes: Triumphs, Hondas, BSAs,.... I think Deus guys were top as one of their guys raced in a suit, and had some of the Girls race too. :) here's some pics

I love how at 3:50 you just take the green light haha. Exactly what I would have done. That damn scoot sounds killer, I like what you did with it.

I'm locally in Bellflower/Long Beach and looking to ride my rebuilt CB350 everywhere I can, any time of the day. Also seeing who is planning on riding to Born Free at the end of the month?..

too stoked

Hey Matt, I'm thinking of riding up through Whittier Hills later this afternoon. Be cool with roll with someone if you're free to go. Also, I saw your other post for the shifting forks and drum. I should have a clean set from my parts engine. I can pack em in my bag and drop by if you're interested.

cheers man

Oh man! I bought some earlier on ebay haha, dammit, they're coming from NY too :[ They look pretty nice but if anything doesnt look too good maybe I can get a spare from ya haha. The motor is on the bench right now, but I hope to get it all back together within a week of getting the forks and getting everything together. I'm still breaking it in haha, itching!!

We'll have to ride soon for sure, would be nice up there on a clear day.
