So I have comstar's on my bike but want to move to spokes

Most of what I have seen in my online shopping only lists the rim and spokes where could I theoretically find a hub as well? I am fine with staying with the Comstar as I do like the look, my issue has more been that the 16" rear rim is too small for my liking on my 1982 Nighthawk 450, basically I am just looking to close the gap between front and back even just a bit. Any ideas?

What do you mean "Too small" ? The side wall on that tire is taller than a larger diameter tire and if you replace it with a larger diameter wheel/tire the gap may stay the same.

a cb650z has a 18" comstar in the back. Swapping that would be easy. Not sure what the nighthawk has in front, but the 650z has a 19" front.

Always remember that when you change fundamentals like wheels, you also change the way the bike handles.

The Nighthawk is a 19" front as well. I am fully aware of the handling difference as it is the prime reason for the swap, I want a carver not a cruiser. Thanks for the recommendation!

I mean to say that the 16" rear 19" front is not the most suitable for cornering and getting a full lean, I just want to close the gap a little bit.

Im not sure where you're located but i've got a set of cb550 wheels in my shop, new powdercoat, new SS spokes, nipples and bearings. Only needs some rubber and you're good to go. PM for price.
