So...I'm...uh...done. Sorta.

So I thought I was done with the paint last weekend, and mounted the tank, got it running, and was thrilled to find that it started right up and ran great. Only to come out 2 days later and see that 2 gallons of gas had leaked from a pinhole in the lower left side of the tank. Ruined the paint on that corner, and of course the leak. So I went to work with a little bit of JB weld, and it appears to be holding now. (we'll see in the morning) So I'll have to repaint that spot. But other than that...

the only issue I'm having with the gauges is that they use a single reminder light for the turn signals. I've got to pick up a relay, because if I wire the existing signal circuits into the wires for the light, I get four way flashers whenever I put either switch on. Other than that, love em.

Aaah, I see. Mounted right onto the top tree hey?
I'm thinking about doing the exact same thing, but mounting them below instead of above (because I have my headlight so low down now)... I was also considering just mounting the stock setup below the tree, but those pesky bolts are tacked on to the top.

My new problem is I'd need a place to mount the remote master reservior... Right now it's mounted to the tach.

Anyway, I digress. Great lookin setup.

I'd also be interested in seeing how you solve the dual flashing problem, post up when you do!

and of course, on my first ride of the season the other night...I lost the glass out of one of the mirrors. <sigh>

Anyone know a source for failry inexpensive round bar end mirrors? I want to get a decent set that aren't junk, but I don't want to pay huge money.
