so... it is snowing here

I had to take my Nitro to work on Wednesday because my work truck has 2 wheel drive and was blown into a drift in my front yard and wasn't going anywhere. I did have a blast running around the back country roads around here checking tower sites and blasting through drifts. They were all more or less powered up so really big ass spray of snow every time I hit one. ;D I miss snow like this, it's too much fun. Was trying to spin shittys in a parking lot but the effing traction control wouldn't let me do it, even when it was OFF. Got some pretty good sliding in. ;D

I guess I'm one of those SoCal weenies but I can't figure how people live in snow like that! Yesterday we had high winds (the type that blows semis over. And did blow a bunch over.) and temps in the 50s and we were all dyin'. Today the wind is gone and by the weekend the temps are supposed to be back in the 80s. And 80s for next week. I was just talking to the wife about heading to the beach for a few days.

SoCal weenies unite!! I just got my bike road-worthy and am stoked I don't have to wait 'til spring to put some miles on it! Now that that's done, I'm gonna hit the surf again too.....

Gotta get SOMETHING for the redonkulous high state taxes we pay, right??!! :D

We've got another 4" today, on top of the 6" of snow we got on top of the inch of ice. I'm ready for spring.
When my daughter was little we went for six years without enough snow for her to use the new sled she got for Christmas. Now she cant come home from college because of all the snow. :(

We've got a ton here in Portland as well. City works had to come and haul snow off our tiny street so they have room to plow. Front end loader Effed up my retaining wall. #^$%%#!!! Just doing their job, I know, but this was after I went out and told him where the wall was!

OK, let me put this in context. Our average snowfall for a winter is 6 inches and change, for the whole winter. Most comes at a half inch to two inches at an event.

From 1:30 a.m. until 2:00p.m. we got TWENTY-TWO inches of snow!
Snowfall at a rate of two inches or more per hour. Thats is NUTS for here.
Low tonight is forcast at -3, but at least it is supposed to be in the sixties next week. ; )

I miss the best winter for snowboarding due to a badly broken ankle from kiteboarding in september. This really sucks. I'm done with kiteboarding in the summer for good! I will still rig up in winter with a proper setup.

This winter has been F'd up everywhere, we usually get snow but this year is going to break recordds for accumulation and total snow fall. It just isn;t melting in between. I am 6' and I can't see over the snow banks. Our public works have been runnig 24/7 to truck snow and cut banks back just intime to get 3' and start over. I can't wait until spring, I sure hopoe it comes early

It was -20F here last night. Ten degrees less than the previous record. It seldom gets below zero here, it's just nuts.

here as well! so cold that when i went outside to grab something from my truck last night. my hands where wet... i grabbed the shop door and my hand STUCK to the door handle!!!

hahaha next time its that cold get some boiling water in a cup and throw the water it up in the air its cool what happens works at -20 Celsius but best and -25 and lower :)

A high of 62 yesterday, and 60 and drizzle today. That white shit is almost all GONE!!!
They are calling for approx 70 for the high the rest of the week. Garage here I come. : )

You know, I look at all the snow we've had here at home and all the snow I see on you guys' posts.......and you know what the first thing that comes to my mind is..............GLOBAL WARMING!!!!! Yeah, right!
