Hey guys. Im from Thousand Oaks , CA. I really want to get into cafe bikes and this site jsut solidified my reserve. Cant wait to get a bike and start working on it . Oh yeah i found a cb500 on cl with a problem with first gear. I dunno we'll see but ill definatly get pics up one i find a suitable ride. Oh and if any of you socal guys are getting rid of a bike send me a line. Later guys

thanks . Its a four, and aparently the bike was completely restored a year ago , the guy is askin 2 grand is that too much? From all the pics ive seen it looks really nice

holy balls. around here thats alot of dough for a bike with tranny problems... granted, the harley scene is big here and so is the sport bike... so vintage jap bikes are on the cheap. i wouldnt do it. possibly look around on ebay, and keep your ear to the ground on craigslist.

I defiantly agree with Brewtown...I bought a 98 R6 with a bad first gear for almost that much. If i were you I would cruise smaller areas on craigslist. heck if you have to drive an hour or two for a screaming deal its worth it.

this is a prime example of what kind of deals you can get your hands on.

whats sad is if i had 400 sitting around i would go scope that. lol

and second off, choppin up a fine resto is just bad taste. get yourself something you can learn and grow with, like the phoenix from the ashes, or in my case with my 360, flies from the shitpile. ::)
