Something Cool

Been Around the Block
Just found this surfing the web. I think it would be a cool platform for a cafe conversion.

Supposed to be available at select Best Buy stores.

Electric bike developments are really picking up speed ... even a racing class now (TTXGP). Should get interesting!

I'm going to have to get a hold of the two stores that sell them to see what our employee discount is on them. 5% over cost baby. Gotta love it. Yes it is an "automatic" but it doesn't have a transmission. Just twist and go.

I like the design. News report that electric scooters and the like are becoming hugely popular, especially in Asia. I'm all for cleaner air but I think I'd rather a turbo bio-desiel cafe racer. Still get that vroom- vroom.

I got the chance to ride one a while back at a demo. Kinda interesting.
I wouldn't use it as a "real motorcycle" as it just needs a bit more development, batteries need more capacity etc. It's got pretty nice acceleration to a point, but it's no dragger.
Great fun around town, would make a neat city bike for sure.

i'd be more than willing to bet you could convert an old twin or single to diesel if you have a good machinist connection and some physics know how

Oh yeah, people are converting RE's to Diesel as we speak!

Awesome!

Intriguing to be sure, but a 28hp 1000cc engine isn't.

Now if someone could make a small capacity turbo diesel that had the power/displacement ratio of a Banks setup on a Cummins then you'd be on to something.
100hp, 160ft-lb 1000cc diesel bike...that'd be interesting.
