Okay, well I am reassembling my motor again, and I have not had any hitches whatsoever except for the spark advance. I have my timing set and everything, but I just don't remember how these 3 pieces pictures below attach into the housing onto the camshaft. I know that the round mechanism goes on last. However the other two, I do not remember how they slide on or in what order. They somehow must operate with the knock pin. Any help would be appreciated. The bike is a 73/74 honda cb200.
The piece on the left with the springs goes on first....plate side first and the notch goes over the little pin on the camshaft. The tube part on the right goes on next. The the little nubs of the spring loaded arms on the advance mechanism go in the slots on the tube piece. There should be a notch on the advance mechanism and a dimple on the tube piece that need to line up. Make sure you don't assemble it 180° out.
The points plate goes on next. I'm not sure about the orientation though. It looks like the squarish notch points towards the top.
