speedo for yamaha sr250 - ratio?

Hi all, I have a 1994 yamaha sr250 special, I bought it second hand in Spain and has a stock kmh speedo. It is a nice clock, but since I'm doing some minor modifications I'd like to take the chance and stop riding around with the ugly and impractical stickers for mph on the glass. The problem is, I have no idea what speedo fits when connected to the stock cable for measuring the correct speed. I've read around that yamahas and kawas have all 5:1, but at the same time I found a guy saying that the virago has 2:1. I'd also buy a stock sr250 mph speedo, but in the uk there are none for my model, and the original from the exciter is more than ugly. I found one on ebay for a sr125, but since it has a 17" wheel Vs the 19" of mine, I asked and the guy said he had no clue.

Some people on this forum did some wonderful builds for the sr250 and they might have changed the speedo... any suggestion / ideas? Thanks!
