If I have a 40 spoke drum hub that I want to use to build a wheel, and a friend has a nice aluminum 36 spoke rim he is willing to give me. Can one simply lace 36 spokes to the 40 spoke Hub? Or will the alignment be all off? Bit of a rookie question maybe but there it is...
