sr250, make the frame fit a nitroheads seat?

hey, so I've only been riding for a month, but I'm really into the idea of turning my sr250 into something between a tracker and a cafe. I have already started detabbing the frame, my biggest issue at the moment is how the frame bends up towards the rear, it is making fitting any after-market seat onto it a bit of a pain (plus its just not the look I want to go for).

Just wondering whether anyone here could give me a hint as to where to cut the frame to straighten it out like this bike here:

I have quite a lot of welding experience so I think I should be good on that front, Just a tad confused as to where I should be cutting, as it starts bending right where the shocks attach and messing with those will make it a whole lot more complicated.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks heaps.

these tabs on the ends were welded on to the frame to slot into the existing mounts for the nitroheads seat. so to those of you that were wondering if the nitroheads for the sr400/500 is a direct bolt on it is certainly not and requires some serious modification. the tank mounting area (the area with the single bolt, not the front mounts) had to be recessed too, so the front of the seat would clear the mounting bolt.

definitely possible, but requires some work. i had a friend do the welding for me.

I made a frame for the seat and cut a notch in the seat pan to make it work. Not completely happy with the result but it still works after a year of riding it.

I didn't get it as low to the guard as the grey SR there. I'll have another go at some stage

Mine was already cut. I just had to work with what I had, came out fairly straight. The main problem is the bend just before where the shocks mount, so it is hard to get a perfectly straight subframe without cutting and welding. Here is how mine turned out. Used some old right angle bends that were at work for the rear of the frame.
