sr250 problems

hey everyone I have an '81 yamaha sr250 and when I got it about a month or two ago I cleaned the carb out really good and the bike was starting and running great; well in the last two weeks it had been doing things such as not starting; running lean when starting; and the throttle not working and engine dying sometimes while it is running. Now I'm to the point where I've made sure the jets are all good and everything its back connected and it's not starting up whenever I try, I was wondering if this would be an issue with the air mixture screw, or more than just that; I just found out finally where the screw is on this bike, and I was going to experiment but I wanted to see if this is what would cause it not to be starting, as far as I know the electrical side of the bike is at 100%

Thanks for any help !

Sounds like your jets keep getting clogged. You experiencing a dragging feeling when you let off the throttle and a jolt when you open it up fully? If you played around with the air mixture when it was acting up then your probably right about adjusting it again. I can't vision any other problems unless your coils are bad. Might want to check for spark just in case. That should narrow it down. It's probably the carb.
