sr500, costello. making something out of someones unfinished build

bought this thing from someone who gave up on it, i really just cared about the motor and frame.. i think i have pretty much everything to make the bike how i want it. should be a pretty quick build. i already did the mods to the frame i wanted to do, finished an exhaust for it, mocked up the new wheels, and have the motor out of it

Nice work!
Justa a question, won´t the exhaust hit the rear tire when the shocks compress?

If not, what do you reckon the clearance is?

isnt it nice to build a simple exhaust hahaha i love that sr. they are on my short list for a 4 stroke to own. keep it up

the rear suspension is going to be slightly taller than what i currently have on there, it currently barely clears the pipe, but in the pics it isn't bolted on the rear mount also it does look like there is some interference there.. this exhaust only took me like 5 sold hours including building the silencer section out of stainless, so much easier than the last exhaust system i built for my cl175

it is a 78 xt motor for sure, the top end has been rebuilt on it, not sure how i feel about not having the sr500 motor in it with cdi/12v, but i am sure i can deal with it

Sweet - the white frame looks great. What sort of paint did you use?
