Stalling issue

Hey all. I have a 80 honda cm400t and after driving it about 20 some minutes it dies out when gearing down or coming to a stop. The charging system appears to be working good....(havent done a full test yet) and it starts up over and over with no issues at all. I'm thinking its the coil when it warms up? Anything else I should check.?..Carbs were just done. It seems like the coils but hey being a 30 year old bike....it could be a long list of many things

Have you tired playing around with your idle adjustment when it was warmed up? Because if you can get the engine back to a low idle in which it doesn't stall then it might just be an issue with the bike getting warmed up. However, if the problem is more than that, then may need to get some new jets for your carbs. Have you changed anything on the stock configuration. ex. pod filters, stacks, exhaust / pipes?

I have a 73 Honda XL125 that does the same thing because it takes forever to warm up and I knew a guy who had a CB550 and said he had to constantly play with the idle adjustment as it got warmed up.

If it starts right back up, it's not the coils. Granted, replacing them would help the bike run better but it won't cure the idle.

I want to say something in the carbs as well.

It's not the charging system. Everything is currently stock. I'm going to toss in a new air filter and some plugs and go from there. I think it may be a carb issue also....Its strange because it ran good this spring, but its been sitting for a while and probably could use a tune up all together...
