started my seat today

i started playing with some foam from lowes and hope to get it finished in the next day or so. here is how it looks right now, i still have some more shapping to do, i have shapped surfboards out of foam before but this is my first attempt at a seat.

What glue did you use to assemble it? Wanna find something that doesn't attack it, cause I have some of the same stuff for the same reason.

I use a hot glue gun from walmart, it's super fast doesn't mess with foam and it won't slip around. I didn't have any problems with it at all

Just an opinion! Id keep the side view curve front to back but square it off a bit on top to match the tank profile a bit better. Actually look at the shaded part of the seat from the picture, I like that! It lowers the profile a bit(looks faster . Does that make any sense? Good luck!

dude i totally agree, i made a new seat today and i like it a lot better. its much shorter and i agree it looks... faster haha. anyway hope you guys like round 2 a little better.

Buddy, great work on the seat! You have inspired me to hack-up the shitty seat I recently bought on eBay and make it more cafe worthy!
