Anyone making mounts out of aluminum or is steel pretty much the standard for rearset mounts?

Steel is easier to heat, bend, and weld and doesn't break when you have a little lowside.
A LOT of OEM peg and control mounts are made of aluminum. I have to replace broken ones all the time. Steel ones bend, and can be straightened. <G>
