Bought a new carb body and the screw deteriorated when I was trying to rebuild the carb. Its weak enough where i think i can use a drill bit to break it out but I dont want to mess anything up. Any suggestions?
Well yes you have to worry about things when you are drilling parts out of a precision part....
You can hit the threads and render the body junk
Drill to far and mess up the mating surface again rendering parts junk
Only try after you have a dead center punch and only use a reverse drill bit.
And take extra care with other aspects of the carbs, if the set is so bad that needles are stuck other things will be blocked or out of spec
