Long story short, I am in the middle of an engine tear down of my 79 cb750k. I realize I may have gotten a little ahead of myself and have already pulled the top end. As many of you I am sure know this has lead to issues keeping the bottom end from spinning while trying to losen the various external bits from the engine.
This one though I don't think is entirely on me. I can stick a penny between the primary gear and clutch basket and that keeps things from spinning... or so I thought. I have sprayed penetrant, wopped the head of the bolt with a hammer, hit the breaker bar with a mallet, and used an impact and this thing won't budge. To the point that now have a penny that is shaped like my clutch basket gear on one side and my primary gear on the other. Mostly I write this to vent as I'm at a loss right now, but the only option I have left that I can think of is head. That being said, is it safe to take a torch to the rotor, or will that anger the charging system gods down the road?
Answers to that, or other suggestions would be quite welcomed at this point. Thanks!
