Stuck Throttle Valve CB750 K1

Been Around the Block
So I am taking my carbs apart to clean them today (they are a mess) and I get the first carb removed from the bank and get it apart and it looks like the throttle valve is stuck and stuck in there. I played with the other three and one moves. So 3 of the 4 are stuck. I tried to gently pry on it and got it to move a little but I don't wanna get to crazy with it.

I have searched around and it seems that the main solution is to soak them in diesel fuel for like a week and they should come free.

I am hoping that someone has a better solution around or something else I can try without having to go buy and then dispose of like 5 gallons of diesel fuel.

The slides on my CB175 where pretty gummed and jammed up. Buy some chem-dip (Walmart has it), disassemble everything but the carb body, and soak them individually (Can't fit all of them in there) for a few hours to a day at a time. Rinse off with hot water, use carb spray to get rid of any remaining grime.

If the chemical treatments alone don't work right away then you might have to repeat. Leave anything in chem dip long enough and it'll come loose. I got a little impatient and wrapped some tape around a flat-head screw driver and gave it little taps until they came out.

It's time consuming, but unless you have the $$$ or proper equipment, that's just the way it goes when it comes to cleaning carbs.

Also, WD-40 or PB Blast the shit out of em.

In this order:

WD-40
Carb Spray
Chem Dip
Hot Water
Carb Spray
Repeat if necessary and at any point they might come loose.

Another Side Note:
If your carbs are that bad but you're willing to work on them when needed, it would be wise to eventually buy another used set off ebay for spare parts and what not. I did that for my CB500 and it has made a world of difference in tackling carb rebuilds and repairs.

Yeah I considered that but it will have to be down the line. All the budget is going to finishing this beast
