that looks great, do you have to fill any bumps in before paint?, or it's pretty even, can you just strip the tank as is, or will you see bumps?,i'm going to try it with my 360 tank, great job,

Wait up.
I have that same kind of hammer..

after reading posts about how easy this is I was ready to give it a go. seeing it done gives me even more confidence. nice vid. dont forget to touch on how important it is to get your template set up so it is the same on both sides, not upside down or anything. now i just need a tank to hammer.

I have to do some putty work before I paint. As soon as I get some time I will run down to the city and get the goods. I've been told that Rage Gold is the best putty to use so I'll pick some of that up. BONDO SUCKS! I'll for sure tape the stripping and finishing of the tank. Thanks for watching!

yep, you are right. Make sure you flip the template. I think I had that in there but the vid was too long and I had to edit it down so You Tube would accept it. Thanks for watching!

Whot kinda tank? I have a GS750 tank i might let go on the cheap...
im looking for something that would fit easily on a smaller honda. i am going to look at some bikes later today. cl 175 and cl 350. maybe ill finally have a project to start.

if you use a dead blow hammer you won't get the bounce back double taps. and have more control. then you can use your lighter rubber/vinyl one for finishing.

makes it a lil easier.
