Hey Everyone, decided to join this forum after researching CB750s for awhile and how to transform them, so many other forums or websites led to this one! Been riding an 07 SV650S Converted to Naked for a few years but have been secretely daydreaming behind her back of a Cafe-Styled bike. So she is up for sale and i picked this little guy up last week! Let the carnage begin!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, i know its a damn clean bike, i do feel a little guilty for tearing into it, but CBs are surprisingly hard to P/U in my area. Besides, the price was right!

Welcome aboard! That is a clean looking bike for sure but it will just be that much easier to come out of the other side with a really clean cafe :)

Welcome from another DOHC CB750 owner.
Put a smile on my face to see someone intending to cafe' out a 79 Limited. VonYinzer is right, they made a boatload. Most CB750 searching will yield a bunch of older model SOHC stuff but they are are getting crazy attention right now. But because I like you already, since you obviously have good taste in bikes and forums, I'm gonna save you a little grief.
Here is links to scans of the factory service manual of our bikes. (It's kind of hard to find it free). Don't waste your money on a Clymers or Haynes manual, this is straight from Mother Honda. These are broke down in chapters for easier downloading. I posted it here on DTT but it's hosted by cb750c.com ...
*EDIT* Took out the forum bashing, your a big-boy and can make your own decisions.

That being said, if you need to join a 750 specific forum CB750-S is a friendly enough group but a little hard to navigate and the member count is low. I'm Hoosier Daddy on it as well.
You found the best place on the web right here on DTT and there are quite a few of us who have DOHC 750 builds so you will be amoung good company. Link to mine is "Rock-It" in my sig line.
Cheers and congrats on the new bike!

Thanks for the replies guys, and Hoosier, big thanks for the link! Ill represent the 79 LE best i can =P Exactly why i joined here, full of real-world info and advice for noobs like me, you guys rock!

And i did start a build thread that i will slowly but surely update as i go along for anyone wanting to witness the chaos ;D

Welcome to the site. It seems like I'm always chasing Hoosier around and finding more and more DOHC 750s on here. His advice is worth millions!

I would also say post a bunch, Dime City Cycles offers a 10% discount for members with more than 100 posts. Still working to get to 100 myself so I can make a few purchases.

Looking forward to your build in the Big Arse Projects section.
