That pic doesn't tell the story. Is the flange on the swing arm too thick? The shock looks to be the right length.

Hi after some googling I found out old shocks were eye to eye and new olds are eye to clevis. Now I need advise weather to cut new shock and weld clevis or get some sort of adapter

you should be able to unscrew the eye end off the shaft and then you could fab/weld a clevis or modify the swinger
what brand are the shocks ? oem or aftermarket?

The newer ones are showa original ones off a newer cb400. Would I be able to buy an aluminium clevis to weld on there?

if you could find one
if the end is aluminum then having a clevis fabbed out of aluminum would be easy first thing is to get it unscrewed off the shaft, it is likely loctited from the factory so you need to heat it up till the loctite smokes then use some soft jaws in the vice to hold the shaft, should come off pretty easy, don't let the heat ruin the seals cool shaft as soon as you are done

Here are some pictures

1992 and later CB400 Super Four. The Ebay price looks like a steal for $16. That bike was not available here in the states. It was only a Japanese market bike until 2008 when it was introduced in Australia.

Didn't someone here fab up a mount for their shock to mount it eye-eye? I remember it being red. Basically they spun the bottom mount 90 degrees so that it didn't move forwards/backwards. Only downsie is it raised the back about 40mm.

You can have the swinger modified to work with that mount. The shock doesnt look to be of the sort that can be modified so you'll have to work on the swinger. Or... Sell me those shocks for my RD and pick up a pair that'll work without all the mods. ;)

Found it:

And without some detailed machine work and some very high grade matwrials theres to way to mount an "eye" to a clevis safely. In my opinion only... Someone may (it's likely) know better than I though.
