Suspension

suspension is a little washy in turns and especially going into a lean (220lbs on 30 yr old springs)
best case i would replace the whole front end with an inverted set but i have virtually 0 mechanical skills when it comes to motorcycles (anyone do a replacement? any serious machining going on or is there a 'magic' fork set that can be for the most part bolted on with minor fabrication?)

that might be a winter endeavour, but for now i'm thinking of replacing the springs, whats a good choice for progressive springs? and what other pieces do i need for a rebuild? shims, wipers etc etc?

oh while i'm here also i put my clubmans on this weekend and not my throttle sticks open, throttle cable too long causing this maybe? the cables were re-oiled and the grip spins freely on the bar, just wont return when i let go :)

sry for the nubness, but that's why i'm asking :)

I don't know much about a front end sap but to fix your throttle issue you'll probably need to reroute the cables. Try messing around with how they're routed and make sure their's no sharp bends in the cable. If you can't get them to move at all you may need to shorten/lengthen them.
