Hey guys, I just recently bought a Suzuki Gs 450 Sport. I have always been fascinated with Cafe Racers. Now is my opportunity to own and build slowly modify one. I have soo many ideas just flowing in my brain. So I am creating this thread to bounce then off other members and chronicle my adventure. Please keep reading. Sorry if it is too long of a intro post. I am just soo excited about this build.

Heres my current picture of the project.

My Super Brainstorm ideas (will need help with this).... Will prob. happen in the down season...

Late 90's Era GSXR 600 Swingarm and rear wheel
Havent really thought about what I should do about the front suspension.
Maybe a different tank ( I just love the way my tank is long)
Drag Bars?

Dont get me wrong, I know you guys are going to say why not just go out and buy a Gixxer then. Well...I dont want to. Sport bikes not really my thing. I love they way old school bikes look. I just want to beef up the suspension and tires....

Thank You guys in advance. DTT is a awesome site. Im glad I found it.

That tank is actually highly collectable- I recommend keeping it.

Search around for Hillsy's gs. He has done some insane work to it.

Btw Rich....Where did you get that fancy headlight bucket......I had a friend who had one for his CB 550....he already got rid of it tho. Is there any glass companies that you would recommend?

Definitely want to check out www.roccitycafe.com- the owner is a member here and a real nice guy. He make seats, fenders, and headlight buckets from glass and a lot of stuff from aluminum.
