I am buying a GT250 off a friend, It is disassembled so cleaning it and modifying a few things before it goes together will be easy. Does anyone else have one of these or any other GT? Any tips and tricks, where can I find a manual for it?

I did at one time have a 72 T-250 hustler (great bike) make sure you get some expansion chambers for it, it makes it a whole new animal.

Yea I was looking for expansion chambers but I could not find any specific to the 250. I am new to 2 smokers so can I just buy some generic ones that fit it or do I need to get ones specific for the bike?

Hiya here are a couple of pics of my old gt 250a 1975, they are easy to tune and the porting specs can be found on line to put them to tr250 size. The best pipes for these are the Allspeed expansions in this country. The first gear can be a bit short but it is easy to get another cog machined. i will see if a can find some more info. http://www.t20suzuki.com/racing.htm#tuning this site might be of help. very similar engine. I raced mine and it was very competitive in the earlystock and forgottem era classes. i even managed to get a fourth place!! ;D a couple of times at Mallory. i do have soft spot for them lots of fun. Hope you have fun with it ;D

Here are some specs to build a pipe for the gt250.. havent tried them yet http://auction.netbikes.com.au/vjmw.php?dir=suz_twins&page=t250_chambers
