Suzuki LS650

This time i thought i would start with a custom.
Ended up with a cheap LS650 "Savage" bought it with no spark really cheap.

My son liked it and said he would like to have it when he turns 18.
I buy another one for him when he gets to the proper age or starts to come to the garage to do something instead of the computers, phones etc.

Fixed the ignition by replacing a broken transistor.

Stripped it down and also tried some stuff to get the final look.

Nice work and great transition. You really knocked the ugly off of her! How long (about) from start to finish?
 
This is really a fast cheap and easy conversion.

Remove all unwanted parts.
Replace seat, rear fender, bars, silencer,
mirrors, indicators and taillight.
Not much of cutting or welding only some new brackets.

If you have the parts it could be on the road again after a weekend in the garage, depending on how perfect you want the bike to be.
 
This is the finished bike, now i need to sell and find something new for the winter.

I know I am responding to an old thread, but to where did you relocate the heat sink/rectifier which was mounted on the rear fender?

As you see i used a open air filter so i could remove the original. Makes a lot of room to put all electrics under the seat. The rectifier is even visible right under the seat.
