Wonderful electrical work :|

SKULLS !!!

We have lights!!! tested with old battery and everything works now. after low beam was high beam.. left indicator was right indicator.... just some small adjustments to do to the mini indicators in the front...

12 Weeks left until my deadline!! So many small things to do... Scaryest part : Setting the timing and tuning the carbs... hoping that everything runs well... ?

note to self... check that the kill switch is connected incase the throttle cable jams on full :|

Love it.

I bought a few parts from Titan as well and I am very happy with them. I bought a ballistic battery, saves a bunch of weight and you can stuff it in the seat hump if you want to open up the middle of the bike.

I'm running without battery. ;)

Today i went for a test drive. Stopped and tried to get some adjustments to the carbs done.. but i don't know where to start... playing with the air screw doesn't seem to do much.. When less than full throttle the right cylinder doesn't run properly.. and when going to full throttle it spits out old unburnt gas/oil and then ''starts'' to run but then dies after a while when not using full throttle..

What could cause these problems?

videoclip is from last year... just after that was filmed the point ignition failed... it has now been replaced to a electric ignition..

i have been reading up on carb tuning and cleaning today... allmost every guide starts with "clean your carbs.. again.. you didn't clean them properly" so i guess ill clean them again :/

The one thing that I don't like to hear is it's only one cylinder...
If it's only 1 cylinder rich, I'd check float height, choke, that sort of thing...
Normally if the bike is running rich at 1/2 throttle, you'd start by lowering the needle.

the left carbs seems ok.. so i think ill try lowering the needle on the right... after cleaning both carbs like crazy...

Both carbs should be set the same, if one is good and one bad, double check you have the same needle and needle jet, check float heights or maybe even an air leak in the good carb.
I don't recommend lowering only on needle as that would only be a bandaid to mask the real problem.

Sounds like a leaky float or float needle jet causing it to be over rich on one side. Swap the carbs left to right if possible and see if the trouble moves with the carb.

so i took some distance from the suzuki.. have been riding the xb9sx... after so many times of trying to get the carbs tuned and failed, i took it to a mecanic in helsinki... a week later.. runns smooth!!! and 43hp from the wheel!! :)

i guess sometimes you just hafto let the professionals do the tuning... turns out the carbs where almost ok.. but the ignition timing was off so badly that the new ignition system didn't know witch was left and right cylinder!

it has been a long jurney.. but i must say that i'm happy with my first cafe build.

small things still to do but.. in time...

i will link a new video when i have time to edit :)
