Suzuki Titan reborn....

Many thanks for the kind words guys......lets hope you like the finished article.
The engine is now in the frame, with carbs mounted and all electrics connected and fully functional. New points fitted and set, and we have a big blue spark. All lights working as they should, so not long until a trial fire up. Still some work to do on the pipes, but the tricky one that goes under the motor is made, the other is just a formality.
Peter the painter, just paid me a welcome visit.......

Here's the shotgun effect I wanted to create......and the pipe that passes under the motor. It doesn't look much different to one of our stock chambers, but we spent a lot of time getting it to exit correctly to line up with the right hand pipe.
I have always liked the 2 up one side look, ever since buying a set of pipes in the 70's that had been on the track. They were just too rough for this bike....but I still have them, and they were on my cafe 500 a few years back.

Just look at the difference polishing makes......

The job is almost done. Just a couple of minor bits to do, then I need to get it out on the street and check it rides ok. Not bad really, we have transformed this bike in just 2 months.
Must say, I am very pleased with the end result.

I generally do not like Cafe Racer Bikes, which often have design flaws. I am a big fan of the Stock Suzuki Titan 500... Except for the tiny pods on the carb, this bike is the first time I seen a Cafe Racer actually look better than the original bike. This is the bike every one should use as their model....

It is simply beautiful, functional, and I want to ride it...First cafe racer that I would want to ride and be seen on...

Excellent...

Absolutely beautiful work! I must say, im a tad jealous of this smoker

Thanks guys.....high praise indeed. Much appreciated. Everyone has preferences, me included, but we can still appreciate good work even if it's not to our own taste.
I'm anticipating some similar enthusiasm for this bike at the Isle of Man in 3 weeks.

Lovely. I used to have a road legal ex proddy racer GT500 back in the day. It was crap.
I like flat bars but to me it cries out for the flat ace bars that were made for the GT 185.

Well here I am at the Isle of Man TT, looking forward to two whole weeks of bike action......the T500 is running well, and creating masses of interest.

In David Attenbourgh voice; here we have a Suzuki T500 in its natural habitat.

Any chance you guys are going to sell those pipes to the public or are you going to keep as a single custom set for yourselves? Spectacular bike!
